TYTV Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

TYTV is a video player for iPhone and iPad. It does not include any channels or content, and it does not have user accounts. We collect no personal data beyond what the app needs to work, and we do not sell, share or use any data for advertising or tracking.

What stays on your device

• The playlists you add (M3U links, or an Xtream Codes server, username and password) are stored only on your device, in the iOS Keychain. They are never sent to us.
• Channel, movie and show lists, the TV guide, your favorites, recently watched items and resume positions are stored only on your device. Deleting a playlist or the app removes them.
• TYTV connects directly to the playlist servers you add to load lists, the TV guide, artwork and video. Those servers are run by your provider, not by us, and their own privacy policies apply.

TV guide and sports scores

To show what is on now and the teams playing in a game, TYTV downloads the TV guide from your playlist provider and public sports scoreboards (for example ESPN and TheSportsDB). These scoreboard requests contain no personal information, playlist details or account data; like any website, those services can see the request's IP address.

If you tap the optional “Try a sample stream” button, TYTV loads public test streams from Apple’s servers (devstreaming-cdn.apple.com); like any website, Apple can see the request’s IP address, and no personal information is sent.

Crash reports (optional)

If “Send crash reports” is on (Settings), TYTV sends a crash or freeze report to our crash-reporting service (Sentry) so we can fix bugs. A report contains the app version, iOS version, device model, a random install ID and technical details about the crash. Reports are scrubbed so they contain no web addresses, playlist details, usernames, passwords or IP addresses, and the service is told not to store the sender’s IP address. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

Subscription and purchases

TYTV offers an optional monthly auto-renewing subscription (TYTV Premium). Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details; the app only receives from Apple whether the subscription is active. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device.

Children

TYTV is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
